Stilleben - The Glory - The Gossip - The Works!

The trio Stilleben was founded some - oh, I don't know - 8-9 years ago, by three absolutely ravishing young women studying music first year at the university and with the common urge to cultivate the noise of their tortured instruments into something worth hearing, and preferably without any kind of hard work.

This web site will, as time goes by, introduce you to their world and their music. And bear in mind, that this is the only web site fully authorized and licenced to tell the truth about the myth of Stilleben.

Majken

Majken Waerdahl - our singer, vocalist, soprano, whatever; born and raised red-haired and with a lyrical disposition. Besides being an amateur photographer, she is also a highly skilled belly dancer. Majken absolutely loath people with hats.

She will probably want to submit some more substantial piece of information about herself. While we wait for that to happen, why don't we all e-mail her at majkenw@hotmail.com She will probably hate us for it.

Guro

Guro Roenningsgrind - the violinist. Especially fond of John Cage and the musical and philosophical heritage of India, where she has recently spent 6 months. She is the one of us who has most faithfully trodden the badly tiled university floors, and the thought of her lengthy engagement with the place does not even give her the slightest problem breathing, not even a tiny, wee allergic reaction, which is quite extraordinary.

I dare say she will also want to add a little something to her own CV, but in the meantime, you can mail her at guroronn@start.no. Feel free to ask any question.

Ragnhild

Ragnhild Vaishnavi - our composer and pianist; shy, modest and arrogant. Yes, i know. She loves dogs, books and composing music. She finds money to be an utterly embarrasing subject for conversation and is actually born two hundred years too late. Or maybe not. What else is there to say about her at this moment? The echo answers
"what else?".

You can, if indeed you really must, reach her at the purple e-mail address somewhere down the page.

and more...

Below this unquestionably intriguing header we grab the opportunity to urge you to BUY OUR CD! PLEASE...? Have you any idea in what miserable state our finances really are? Well, to be serious, we are cautiously proud of our CD, and believe it worth listening to. There will, eventually, when the author of this page understands the principles of putting sound and stuff on the web site, be samples from the CD.
The CD is at present available only a few places in Norway; in Trondheim, Oslo and Tromsų. However, if this is a little out of your way, you can easily contact any of us by e-mail, and we will be only too happy to help you.

This is evidently the silliest homepage ever, and from my experience on the web, I'd say there's some pretty stiff competition. Our current slogan is: Short and Shallow, and this page was last updated at a ridiculous level of competence. The thing is, that our author (me!) insists on doing this the hard way, instead of just filling out some ready template. Anyway: stay with us, beloved friend(s) - we promise further development and you are, by the way, probably the first one to visit our page. Serves you right. Bye-bye.
